Our department struggled to always stayed caught up because some employees were so easily distracted or not given enough opportunity - more. Still, after all that hard work, I did not receive any merit when I asked to be excused from the excessive overtime hours in order pick up my child at a certain time from Daycare, do to the center's hours. My hard work went as far as helping other departments when the department I worked for had some down time. I worked really hard for this company because I believed and still believe of what they stands for, I even worked when no one else would, including Holidays and Extremely ridiculous overtime hours.
This company also has the WORSE Human Resource system I have ever seen in any company whom I have previously worked for, do to the simple fact that they have better things to do than to really support all of their hard working employees. One employee even got recognition just for being pretty and smiling at the owner. A really good employee left because of their superficial policy.
I saw this really happened right before my eyes. But most importantly, you WILL NOT SUCCEED IN THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU HAVE A COLLEGE DEGREE, even if it's a meaningless one. Not going to happen, unless you look like Barbie or Kent. When I first began working for this company, I thought, I finally found a place where I can retire from.
